Caterina was born on 26th October 1975 in Ghene, Switzerland and grew up in Villa Silvana, her family home, rich in personal memories. Extraordinary Christmases, where the d'Esposito and Pane families, together with friends, came together to celebrate with lunches and dinners for hundreds of participants. The traditional Epiphany celebration with its gift bearing old woman was an exciting day which the family‚ children looked forward to for months in advance. The hidden footpaths and the wide terraces, together with the winding path down to the sea were ideal places for games of hide-and-seek and treasure hunts.
Villa Silvana has always been a magical venue for family occasions, welcoming guests and delighting them with exquisite local cuisine such as Grandmother Amelia‚ famous ravioli, with mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil. Warm hospitality and elegant enjoyment lit the evenings with friends; in front of the open fires in the winter and out on the terraces during the heat of the summer.
Caterina‚ christening, her first holy communion, her piano lessons, her first kiss, her 18th birthday party, her graduation celebration, and her wedding all took place in Villa Silvana and she is pleased to be able to extend these heartfelt moments to her guests. She has travelled a lot, spending longer study periods in England and the United States. Boston won her heart and she looks forward to returning. She worked for several years in her family‚ shipping company but has now decided to dedicate her professional skills entirely to Villa Silvana.
Caterina grew up as a P.R., Villa Silvana was always full of important and famous people, diplomats, politicians and artists, journalists, actors and writers.
